Join the Team
Make a difference in the life of a horse or a child. Or both!
Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer for the Equine Spirit Sanctuary.
Volunteers are needed to assist with programs and day to day operations. Volunteers assist with horse care, keeping our facility clean, safe and healthy for our equines, helping with activities and programs and fund raising. There are many different ways and opportunities to share your time, knowledge and energy with ESS. Let us know what your special skills and interests are! We look forward to having you as part of the ESS volunteer team.
Program Volunteers are required to do training sessions before assisting. Duties will be assigned according the volunteer’s capabilities and interests and in accordance with ESS goals. Volunteers are encouraged to work with team leaders and directors to advance their skills.
Persons who wish to help with the therapeutic riding programs must attend three of the four training sessions held Wednesday afternoons in May, or do equivalent training time with the instructor/program director.
2020 UPDATE: Our normal volunteer activities are limited now due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering, but please understand if it is not possible (or practical) during this difficult time.
